Vesna Longton is a professional event painter , based in Attlebo,MA She has a formal art education and over 19 years of experience in live event painting. She paints live at events, including Weddings, Aniversaries,Corporate Functions,Fundraisers, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, Graduations, Quinceañeras, Christmas Parties.
She serves MA, RI, CT, NH, NY, ME and VT.
Our Story
Back in 2006, when Vesna Lonton, an artist from Russia, moved to the U.S., she was browsing art job listings on Craigslist. She came across an unusual inquiry about live wedding painting. Of course, no one had heard of it before. But Vesna was accustomed to painting live, with the knowledge and education necessary to do the job well, so she responded to the bride.
A couple of days later, the bride and groom visited her studio. They looked at her paintings and said they would think it over. A minute later, there was a knock at the door, and the couple handed Vesna a deposit check for their first dance painting.
Since that first commission, Vesna has painted hundreds of paintings. Her skills have significantly grown, and her experience now allows her to create more complex and detailed compositions .
That first commission marked the beginning of an unexpected journey for Vesna. Over the years, she has painted hundreds of wedding scenes, each one a unique blend of emotion and detail. What sets her work apart is her ability to not just capture the moment, but to truly bring the couple to life in her paintings. The people in her portraits are instantly recognizable—they look like themselves, with all their expressions and subtle details that make each piece so personal and meaningful. This skill, along with her growing experience, allows Vesna to create paintings that are not just beautiful, but deeply connected to the couples’ stories, making every piece even more special and interesting.
First Commission
The very first painting, 16x20 inches, was done in 2006 in oil and took 4 hours to complete. It didn’t have many details, but as always, the most important people in the painting were recognizable
Many paintings after
Since 2006, Vesna has painted hundreds of works, and at times, she would return to the same location—Rosecliff in Newport, RI—to create new, more elaborate and interesting compositions, while also reliving her fond memories
